Ayodhya Ram Temple Area:

  • Length (East-West) 380 feet,
  • Width 250 feet and
  • Height is 161 feet.
  • It is a three-storey temple,
  • Each floor is 20 feet high,
  • In which there are a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.

Rectangular Field All-Around:

  • Length 732 meters,
  • Width 4.25 meters

Shri Ram Mandir in East-West-North-South Side:

  • There are four temples in the four corners of the grounds – Lord Surya, Shankar, Ganapati, and Goddess Bhagwati.
  • On the South side of the park, there is Hanuman and on the north side, there is Annapurna Mata.
  • Renovation (complete repair) of the Shiva temple located on the Navratna Kuber hill in the south-western part and the installation of the idol of Jatayu, a devotee of Ram.

When will Ayodhya Ram Temple be inaugurated: Shri Ram Temple will be inaugurated on 22 January 2024 between 11.00 am to 01.00 am.

But the auspicious time will be in ‘Abhijit Muhurta’ between 11:51 am to 12:33 am. This Muhurta is considered very auspicious in Hindu religion and the work done during this time is fruitful.

|| Details of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple ||

  • The temple is built in the traditional Nagar style.
  • The temple is 380 feet long (east-west), 250 feet wide and 161 feet high.
  • It is a three-storeyed temple, each story 20 feet high, Which has a total of 392 Pillars, and 44 Doors.
  • Ground floor sanctuary is the child form of Lord Rama (Sri Ramlala), and the first floor is the sanctuary – of Sri Ram Darbar.
  • There are five mandaps/pavilions (in total): Dance/Nitya Mandap, Bengal Mandap, Meeting Hall, Prayer Mandap, and Kirtan Mandap.
  • The pillars, as well as the walls, are decorated with statues of gods and goddesses.
  • Before the entrance there is a Lion gate with 32 stairs (16.5 feet high).
  • Ramps and lifts are available for disabled persons and the elderly.
  • In the rectangular field all around – length 732 m, width 4.25 m, four temples in the four corners of the field are Lord Surya, Shankar, Ganpati, Goddess Bhagwati, Hanuman on the south side of the park and Annapurna Mata temple on the north side.

  • The Shiva temple located at Navaratna Kubera Hill in the south-western part has been renovated and the statue of Ramabhakta Jatayu Raj has been erected.

Opening Ceremony Expected Guest

Preparations for the inauguration ceremony are going on in full swing. It is expected that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi along with distinguished guests, saints, religious leaders, dignitaries and lakhs of devotees will arrive for the ceremony. Chanting of sacred mantras, bhajan-kirtan and procession will be organized in the ceremony. The outline of the ceremony is as follows:

  • Starting from January 16: A 7-day Amrit Mahotsav will be organized in the temple premises, which will include a combination of religious rituals, bhajan-kirtan and cultural programs.
  • 22 January, Auspicious time: The auspicious work of installation of the idol will be completed at 12:20 am in the holy Abhijeet Muhurta. This ritual will be performed with proper rituals by the great Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid.
  • Prasad Distribution: Grand Prasad distribution will be organized to the devotees in the temple premises.
  • Deepotsav: A grand festival of lights will be organized to illuminate the holy city of Ayodhya. The entire city will glow with faith in the light of lamps.
